New Distributor Appointment & Commercial Order

On 31st October 2016, Livac Pty Ltd appointed Sistemas Integrales de Medicinia SA (Simmedica) as its exclusive distributor for the LiVac Retractor in Spain and Portugal.

The companies have been in discussions for several months, with Simmedica attending LiVac training in June 2016 in the UK and subsequently conducting independent product trials with Key Opinion Leader (KOL) surgeons in Spain. In early November Simmedica placed its first commercial order for 180 LiVac Retractors, which Livac is currently working to deliver.

Sistemas Integrales de Medicinia, S.A (Simmedica) was founded in 2001, the company is based in Madrid, Spain and manufactures and markets endoscopy and surgery products for the Spanish and Portuguese healthcare market. PENTAX Medical became a majority shareholder in Simmedica when it acquired majority shares in Simmedica in May 2016.
