The technique used with the LiVac™ Retractor System to reduce the intraperitoneal length of suction tubing, CO2 leak and tubing compression during left lobe liver retraction in bariatric procedures. The Zorron Technique involves bringing the LiVac™ suction tubing out through the same wound as the right rectus laparoscopic port wound, but taking a different tract in the abdominal wall. The different tract prevents any CO2 leak or tubing compression, and the path from skin to left lobe is very direct.
