Robotic Surgery
The LiVac Retractor System includes a soft silicone ring that connects to suction, creating a vacuum for gentle organ retraction. Positioned between the liver and diaphragm it gently retracts the liver from above.
The LiVac can be inserted via an existing incision, making it the retractor of choice for Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (single incision port) and to minimize scarring.
The LiVac Retractor system:
- Can be inserted alongside or directly through a single incision port, enabling single-incision, minimally invasive surgery.
- Eliminates the need for a painful, epigastric incision.
- Does not clash or interfere with the robot arms.
- Provided retraction of the left liver lobe outside the surgeon’s field of view, exposing the upper gastric area for the duration of the procedure.
- The patient was reportedly satisfied with the single incision approach and the cosmetic result.
